KICKSTART "VIKRAM"

Hello friends, perhaps no other actor in the history of Indian cinema had to go through such a long almost never-ending struggle for years to find his place in the film industry! He debuted in films with less than famous film En Kadhal Kanmani(1990), followed by more than a dozen box office non-performers, Vikram even tried his luck in other aspects of cinema, including dubbing!

After a decade of hard work and struggles, solely due to his talent and willpower to succeed, he hit an home run with Sethu(1999), one of the biggest hits in Tamil cinema. Thereafter, there was no looking back! Though he missed the National Award for this performance, his work in Bala's Pithamagan brought him the top acting honour in the country. His name became synonymous with success with back-to-back hits like Dhill,Kasi, Gemini, Pithamagan, Dhool, Saamy, Anniyan, Bheema and Kanthaswamy. Despite all this, his fans believe this is just the beginning of Vikram's success saga. And they may not be wrong.

Ace director Mani Ratnam's much anticipated Raavan, being made in Tamil and Hindi, could be a new start to another decade of success. Very little is known about the movie, but what is known that Vikram will play the antagonist in the Hindi version and protagonist in the Tamil version. Aishwariya Rai Bachachan stars in both versions. In Tamil, She is paired opposite Vikram, while in Hindi she shares screen space with her husband Abhishek Bachchan. The fact the Mani Ratnam chose Vikram to play two diverse characters in his film speaks a lot about his faith in the actor's talent and abilities. Produced under the banner of Madras Talkies, the film has completed shooting and is likely to grace screens worldwide in July.

Vikram has also stepped into production with Real Life Entertainment. Under this banner, he plans to make films with young and upcoming directors, the first venture being directed by Sasikumar. The actor is also working with Vikram K.Kumar of Yavarum Nalam Fame.Wishing him for such more forthcoming hits and successes!
